High Blood Pressure

When the heart pumps blood, it presses against blood vessel walls. The heart has to work extra hard to push the blood through vessels which are clogged with a fatty build up. This puts pressure on other organs in the body, leading to kidney failure, heart failure, and stroke.

High blood pressure is primarily caused by eating animals (cows, pigs, fish, chickens, shrimp) and their by-products (milk, eggs, cheese) and consuming salt (sea salt, soy sauce, tamari). The secondary cause is stress and a toxic environment.

The first step in alleviating high blood pressure is to eliminate certain “death-style” habits. These include, but are not limited to eating animals and their by-products; smoking; drinking alcohol, caffeine, milk, and artificial beverages; using both legal and illegal drugs; and having negative thoughts.

The next step is to adopt healthy habits inclusive of, but not limited to drinking lots of water (especially when you first wake up in the morning), exercise at least 3 times per week, eliminating salt from your diet, replace white (and brown sugar) with natural sweeteners found in health food stores, pray and say positive affirmations each morning and evening, and consume lots of fresh whole organic raw fruits, dark green leafy vegetables, salads, and sprouts. Improvement in your health will be directly related to your diligence and consistency with following these steps.

After following the first two steps, try these suggestions:

  • Take garlic and olive oil separate from your meals. One teaspoon of fresh garlic with two tablespoons olive oil.

  • Consume two tablespoons flaxseed oil daily.

  • Have your blood pressure checked two to three times each year.

  • Fast one day each week- preferably the day you don’t work. Do not fast if you are pregnant, nursing, diabetic, or have a chronic wasting disease such as Alzheimer's.

  • If you are overweight, lose weight.

  • Drink fresh juices or blended fruits or vegetables.

  • Include herbs such as cayenne (capsicum), parsley, and rosemary.

  • Avoid the herbs such as licorice and ephedra (ma hung) which increase blood pressure.

  • AVOID STRESS!
